Need to borrow a known working ECM for an earlier 22re (85-87). I'm having issues getting my 4Runner to run right and the CEL is number 11 which is either TPS or ECM. TPS checks to be within spec. At this point I'm thinking I'm either having issues with my injectors or the ECM. Timing is set, got spark, fuel is at the fuel rail. Just doesn't want to run, pull #1 and it'll die, pull 2-4 and no change in how its running. I'm at a loss and ready to burn the damn thing down, not really just irritated. If anyone is bored and wants to fix it for me I should be fiddling with it later this evening.

Don't think the 93 will work with the the rest of my electronics, seeing how the injectors and I believe a few other things changed after 87.

Still looking for an ECM for an 87 22re. All I need to do is borrow it to check to see if this is my issue. The one I have has 3 plugs on it. John brought two by but both work incorrect.

If someone has one I can borrow let me know. I'll come by and get it, try it and bring it right back.

I have one in a runner at the house you can borrow to see if that is the problem. I live up in T-county not too far from the Beast.
I'll check to make sure it has 3 plugs, its an 87 though

Thanks Steve, I'll let you know if I need it. This 4Runner is about getting on my nerves. I'm currently getting a #11 CEL. I know its not the AC switch because it has nothing to do with running. The TPS check good, unless I'm just a dumbass.

Probably, but I did unplug the compressor and the vacuum switch just to make sure I wasn't retarded.

Nope, still retarded.

Everything points to being set up correctly. Even myanarchy looked at it and agreed that the timing was correct. No, no double chain kit, just a standard kit with metal backed guides from engnbldr.

Haha...not sure what pulling it would accomplish.
